- What do you like to do for fun?
I like to play sports and be outside with my kids. I love to travel. I enjoy exercising, skiing, and hiking. My favorite sports team is the Philadelphia Eagles.
- Any degrees (CIC, CISR, etc)? College degrees?
I have a bachelor's degree from West Virginia University. Graduated in 2006. I am working on my CIC.
- Where do we find you on the weekends?
Outside with the kids somewhere, usually hanging out with friends at night. I love taking Candi out on date nights in Lancaster; there are so many places to eat!
- How did you get into insurance?
At the dinner table. As young as I can remember, my mom would tell us about her day. She started the business in 1991 but previously worked at another agency in Lancaster. My father asked if I wanted to join the family business in college. At the time, my sister worked here as well. It was such a great opportunity; I knew it would be special. I didn't want to pass it up. I am so happy I did; helping people has been so rewarding. Ensuring people are adequately covered while saving them money is so much fun. Knowing that people and businesses in our community will be cared for when there is a tragedy or loss is comforting.
- What aspects of insurance are you most passionate about and why?
I love working with businesses in commercial insurance. I truly enjoy helping someone set up their new business and watching them grow. I also love coming into a situation where they need my help and guiding them on how I would do things. Although I try to think about how I would insure myself, I have found that it does not fail me.
- What do you consider some of your most significant professional and personal accomplishments?
I think graduating college was my biggest accomplishment early on. It leads me to believe I can achieve anything by putting my mind to it. The relationships I have built through insurance are rewarding, and it feels like I am insuring a friend every time—giving back to the community and volunteering. I am excited every day for a new challenge, I find it rewarding to accomplish goals with our team.
